MILFORD – Two men charged with killing a retired New York City corrections officer were convicted on all counts, in Pike County Court. Justin Culver, 20, and Cameron Harinarain, 19, were charged in the 2007 murder of Barry Rose, in his Saw Creek Estates home. The jury deliberated less than four hours before finding Culver and Harinarain guilty of second degree murder, burglary, robbery and criminal conspiracy. The face a mandatory life prison sentence. Both were accused of participating in the break-in that ended in a bloody shootout. A third suspect, Marquis Keeys, 19, is accused of actually firing the shots that killed Rose. He will stand trial later. The trial of Culver and Harinarain lasted five days. The jury got the case Wednesday morning and returned its verdict mid-afternoon. |
