POCONOS – The snow cover is gone, there has been no rain for several days, and the vegetation has yet to turn green.  That adds up to the annual spring brush fire season.

Several fires have been reported in the past few days, including one Tuesday afternoon along Sebring Drive in Pocono Township, threatening several structures.  Another larger fire was reported Monday in Wayne County. 

Fire officials caution against outside burning as long as conditions remain dry.
