TOBYHANNA – Today will be a normal full day of class at the Coolbaugh Elementary Center, where some 200 students took sick last Friday. 

Water samples taken last Friday tested okay.  Crews spent the weekend cleaning and sanitizing the entire building.

So far, no clear indication as to what caused the students to become ill.  While the symptoms, including vomiting, appeared extreme at the time, none of the students is believed to be seriously ill.

In a letter sent home to parents last Friday, and posted on the Pocono Mountain School District, school officials said they were advised by the PA Department of Health to provide information on Noroviruses, which can be pervelant particularly at this time ofo the year.  The statement emphasizes that there is no evidence this was Norovirus.
