Pike trio Arrested in Tri-State burglary spree

MIDDLETOWN NY –  New York State Police at Middletown announce the arrest of three individuals for Burglary following a month long joint investigation with the New Jersey State Police and Pennsylvania State Police regarding numerous residential burglaries in the Tri-State Area. 

The following subjects were arrested for multiple counts of Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a class C Felony:  Miyhosi Benton, 21, Kevin Hairston, 19, and Samuel Alston, 20, all residing at 270 Doe Loop Road, Lehman Township, Pike County. 
  
The investigation revealed that over the past month, all three subjects were involved in a large quantity of residential burglaries where jewelry, electronics, firearms, and US Currency were stolen from homes in Western Orange County, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. All three subjects were additionally charged with criminal impersonation 2nd, a Class A Misdemeanor, and criminal possession of stolen property 5th, a Class A Misdemeanor.  Additionally,  Hairston was also charged with resisting arrest, an A Misdemeanor. 

All three subjects were processed at SP Middletown, arraigned in the Town of Wawayanda and Hairston and Alston were remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu $50.000 cash or $100,000 bond and Benton was remanded on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.   

Members of the New Jersey State Police and the Pennsylvania State Police responded to SP Middletown and conducted additional interviews relative to open cases in those respective jurisdictions.
