J.T. Lambert closed for rest of week

EAST STROUDSBURG – The damage, from a burst water pipe is so extensive that the cleanup will take the rest of this week.  Students at the J.T. Lambert Intermediate School will have the rest of the week off.  Classes will resume next Monday.

That decision was announced by the East Stroudsburg school board at its regular meeting, last night.  The district has also posted some schedule changes, including moving parent-teacher conferences from next week, to this week.  Those changes can be viewed here

None of the other schools in the East Stroudsburg district is affected.

The damage occurred over the weekend.  Water from the broken pipe soaked two floors and some 30 classrooms.  Most of the damage was to carpets and ceiling tiles.  For the most part, books computers and other supplies escaped serious damage.
