COOLBAUGH TWP – Police revealed they have charged two suspects in connection with an incident last July 31, during which a woman was stabbed. At about 3 a.m on that date, police were called to reports of a loud party. By the time they arrived, there were additional reports of drugs, gunshots and the stabbing of a 19-year-old woman, who had already been transported to a hospital, for treatment, by others attending the party. Following the execution of search warrants and an ongoing investigation, police report that earlier this week, they arrested a 17-year-old juvenile, not being named, and Chrisma Spence, 18, of Tobyhanna. The juvenile is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail, on charges that include aggravated assault, simple assault and conspiracy. Spense is held in lieu of $5,000 bail on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and simple assault. Police say based on interviews with witnesses, the person stabbed had been involved in an earlier dispute with the two suspects, who then plotted retaliation. Police also say Spence admitted her role in planning the assault. Police also say that during their execution of a search warrant at the Spence residence in Pocono Country Place, they found marijuana, cocaine, heroin and paraphernalia. That led to the arrest of Spence’s mother, Tasieka Woods, and another occupant of the home, Ivan Bannister. They face drug related charges. |
