Domestic dispute leads to shooting |

POCONO TWP – A dispute between a man and his girlfriend led to a physical confrontation, then a gunshot, which wounded the woman. Police say Jesse Oltmanns, 34, fired the shot from a pistol, hitting Angela Ligurori in the thigh. The dispute apparently began about midday Wednesday, when police were called to Oltmanns’ home on Cranberry Road. Police drove Ligurori to her mother’s house, but she returned Thursday, to retrieve some property. That’s when the confrontation apparently got physical. Oltmanns allegedly struck Ligurori, then when she began damaging some of his dear mounts, he shot her, claiming that because he is confined to a wheel chair, that was the only way he could get her to stop destroying his property. Oltmanns is in the Monroe County jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, charged with aggravated assault. Ligurori was taken to Pocono Medical Center for treatment.
