Most Students return to J.T. Lambert School

EAST STROUDSBURG – A week after a water line break did major damage to parts of the J. T. Lambert Intermediate School, most students will return to class today.  The students had an unplanned fall vacation.

Seventh and eighth grade students will be back in the building, but sixth grade students will be temporarily housed in two other schools.

The water break, which happened a week ago Sunday, destroyed most of the carpeting on one floor and parts of another, and damaged parts of the ceiling on the floor below.  There was some other damage, but most of the equipment, including computers, were not damaged.

Crews spent all of last week removing the debris, cleaning up the building and drying it out, to prevent serious mold problems.
