SWIFTWATER – A $20 million expansion of the Barrett Elementary Center received preliminary approval from the Pocono Mountain School Board, on an 8-1 vote.  Wednesday night’s vote is not a final decision to move ahead with the project.

If eventually approved, the project would include 14 classrooms, a gym, and a new roof. 

The school was built in 1989.
