LEHMAN TOWNHIP – Police have charged a live-in girlfriend with wounding a man in their Pine Ridge home Sunday morning.

Deborah O’Connor, 50, is accused of shooting Willie Harper Jr., 50, in the chest, about 3 a.m. Sunday, at 1-93 Kittatinny Drive, in Pine Ridge, near Bushkill.  O’Connor is charged with aggravated assault and is in the Pike County jail.

Harper remains in intensive care after undergoing surgery at Pocono Medical Center.

Police have not said what may have prompted the shooting.
