PUC schedules hearings on PCLP rate hike request |

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission has scheduled two hearings to receive public comment on a default service plan proposed by Pike County Light & Power (PCLP). Administrative Law Judge Ember S. Jandebeur will conduct the hearings at:
PUC Commissioner Wayne E. Gardner will be attending the 7 p.m. hearing. On May 30, 2008, PCLP filed a petition for approval of a new default service plan where the company will secure its default service supply beginning June 1, 2009. The plan is designed to replace a 17-month default service implementation plan, which began on Jan. 1, 2008 and will end May 31, 2009. Members of the public are welcome to attend the hearings and provide comments. Customer testimony will become part of the record on which the PUC will issue a report, which will include recommendations for future action, as well as changes in policies and regulations governing electric service reliability.
