Sunday session considers table games, but still no budget |

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania House, meeting in an unusual Sunday session, began debating legalized table games as a way to raise revenue for the still unresolved state budget. The debate reportedly became heated, but they still don’t have a budget. The eight-hour Sunday session ended about 11 p.m. Gov. Edward Rendell apparently believes there was progress. The House could vote on something by Tuesday, but whatever they come up with then must clear the state senate. The budget is now 95 days late. |
