Koehler gets life

STROUDSBURG – A Monroe County jury needed less than an hour to decide that Jason Koehler she get life in prison, not death, for killing two people.

Koehler was convicted, Wednesday, of first degree murder for shooting Jennifer Cullinan.  That was the conviction that could have gotten him the death penalty.

He was also convicted of third degree murder for shooting Jason Gray, 19, and attempted murder, for shooting and wounding Jose Joubert, 33.

The jury ruled Koehler will spend the rest of his life in prison, with no parole.
