HONESDALE - The Wayne County Tourism Promotion Committee announces the 2010 Tourism Grant Applications. Although the basic guidelines for the program have not changed, the Committee will give preference to groups planning events or coordinating activities with other organizations.

Wayne County Tourism is driven by the visitor participating in activities and events across the area. Coordination of events that keep the visitor overnight helps our lodging and campgrounds facilities as well as supporting businesses. We encourage organizations to coordinate event dates and maximize marketing efforts by working together and planning. Applications for the 2010

Tourism Grants can be obtained on the County website www.co.wayne.pa.us under features or in person at the Commissioners’ office. Applications are due to the Chief Clerk no later than Friday, December 18
