Newfoundland – The weather could not have been more perfect for a fair, and the choice this weekend was the Green-Dreher-Sterling Fair in Newfoundland. 

The Fair began 90 years ago as a part of education. One fourth of the people who came were looking for information, new ideas and whatever data they could pick up. It has long since grown into a real, honost-to-goodness country fair will all the glitter, glamour, and noise added to the homey down-on-the-farm kind of exhibits. It is an event for the whole family, the whole countryside, visitors included.

Senator Lisa Baker attended the fair and presented a citation to commemorate the its 90th anniversary.
