Stroudsburg – Work on the bridge linking Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg will still begin this week, but the single-lane traffic pattern won’t be in place until Thursday.

The contractor began mobilizing - moving equipment to the project area – Monday. Motorists can expect a single lane traffic pattern in each direction beginning Thursday (September 20) and lasting until the project ends in November. All schedules are weather dependent.

Crews will patch and overlay the bridge deck, replace expansion joints and install a new mountable median.
Business Route 209 (Main Street), which crosses the bridge, has an average daily traffic of 13,791 vehicles.
