Williamsport – A man ranting about taxes and communism attacked a staff worker in Congressman Chris Carney’s Williamsport office Thursday morning.  The worker was not seriously hurt.

Williamsport police say the intruder apparently barged into the office, went into a rage, then pushed a secretary who asked the man to leave.  The man did leave, and has not been seen since

The office was closed for the remainder of the day, but will reopen Friday.

Carney’s district includes most of northeast Pennsylvania, including all or parts of Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties.
