STROUDSBURG – The teenage suspect wounded when he allegedly tried to rob a man at gunpoint last week will head to county court.  Reneau Jacques, 17, of Smithfield Township, waived a preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Jacques is accused in an attempted armed robbery in the parking lot of the East Stroudsburg Wal-Mart, last Thursday.

Jacques fired several shots, non hitting his intended victim, Joshua Eastman, 28, of East Stroudsburg.  Eastman had a permit to carry his own weapon, which he used, striking Jacques in the leg three times.

Charges against Jacques include attempted murder and robbery.
