Rape suspect surrenders |

POCONO TOWNSHIP – The man wanted for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl at a motel has turned himself in. Jeremy Moyer, 23, surrendered to police in Pocono Township, Wednesday morning.. Moyer is accused of repeatedly assaulting the girl at a Howard Johnson’s motel on Route 611 in Bartonsville. The crimes were reported by the girl’s mother. New information shows that Moyer, the mother and her three daughters, were living together at the motel for the past three weeks. The assaults took place during that time. Moyer also allegedly threatened to shoot the girl and other family members, if she told anyone about the incidents. Moyer, on probation for other crimes, is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and terroristic threats.
