COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP – A Tobyhanna contractor faces several charges after allegedly taking almost $2,000 from a homeowner to build a deck, then never doing any work or refunding the money.  Brian Hewson, 34, faces charges of theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, receiving stolen property and deceptive of fraudulent business practices.

Police arrested Hewson after the victim complained that he had paid the money to the contractor almost a year ago and had repeatedly attempted to get Hewson to either build the deck or refund the money.
