PARADISE TWP – A five-year-old boy, reportedly with a history of wandering, did not return to the classroom, with his fellow students, following a bathroom break. Instead, the boy walked out of the Swiftwater Elementary School, and headed for the Mount Airy Casino, about a half mile away. The child walked across the golf course and around the lake. When questioned by resort security personnel, the boy told them his parents were in the casino. Casino officials responded to make sure the boy remained in good hands. School officials acted quickly, once the teacher who had accompanied the 18 children to the bathroom, noticed the boy missing. The district reportedly will assign a monitor to keep track of the boy while not in the classroom.
