Convicted arsonist gets up to four years

MILFORD - Carmen Delvalle, 39, of Bushkill, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 9 months to 4 years, pay a fine of $ 500.00 and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $ 6,182.52 for the crime of Arson. On June 18, 2008, Delvalle started a fire at the Log Cabin bar in Lehman Township by pouring flammable liquid onto the structure, causing damto the exterior wall where the fire was started.

Several other sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:

Jamall Reed, 32, of Bronx, NY was sentenced to probation for one year, pay a fine of $ 800.00 and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $ 7,580.30 for the crimes of Simple Assault and Harassment. On August 1, 2008, Reed engaged in a mutual fight with another person.

Walter Skelton, 41, of Holtsville, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 2 to 6 months and ordered to pay a fine of $ 300.00 for the crime of Default in Required Appearance. On April 6, 2009, Skelton failed to appear at Magisterial District Judge Jay Rose’s office to start carrying out a sentence of imprisonment previously issued by the Judge.

Duncan Eyre, 45, of Tamiment, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 48 hours to 6 months, had his driver’s license suspended for one year and ordered to pay a fine of $ 1,000.00 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On April 16, 2008, Eyre drove his vehicle off the road in Lehman Township. His blood alcohol level was .15%.

Harold Hosking, 31, of Oak Ridge, NJ was sentenced on two separate cases. In the first case Hosking was sentenced to one year probation and ordered to pay restitution for the crime of Access Device Fraud. On October 2, 2008, Hoskins charged $ 38.59 worth of gas onto a credit card that belonged to Milford Borough. In the second case Hosking was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 48 hours to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 1,000.00, had his driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On December 14, 2008, Hoskins was pulled over on Childs Park Road in Delaware Township. His blood alcohol level was .137%.

Donald Gilbert, 50, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to 18 months of probation, pay a fine of $ 700.00 and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $ 2,675.00 for the crimes of Criminal Mischief and Simple Trespass. On January 3, 2009, Gilbert went on a person’s property without the homeowner’s permission and intentionally damaged a fence, mailbox, door, and pool liner.

Kelly Smith, 44, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 4 days to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 1,350, had his driver’s license suspended for one year and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $ 1,600.00 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence and three motor vehicle violations. On December 28, 2008, Smith collided his 2006 Honda Rancher ATV with a car stopped the intersection of Silver Lake Road and Outer Drive in Dingmans Township. His blood alcohol level was .239%.

Diana Mari, 40, of Milford, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 48 hours to 6 months, pay a fine of $ 1,500.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for one year for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On March 31, 2009, Mari was stopped on SR 6 in Blooming Grove Township by the Pennsylvania State Police when her vehicle crossed into the oncoming traffic lane three times. Her blood alcohol level was .137%.

Barbara Flynn, 40, of Honesdale, PA was sentenced to pay a fine of $ 200.00 for the crime of Harassment. On June 29, 2008, Flynn and her co-defendant Kenneth Majka threatened to have physical contact with another person.

Kenneth Majka, 57, of Franklin Lakes, NJ was sentenced to pay a fine of $ 300.00 for the crime of Harassment. On June 29, 2008, Majka and her co-defendant Barbara Flynn threatened to have physical contact with another person.

Diane White, 47, of Newark, DE was sentenced to pay a fine of $ 500.00 and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $ 1,690.00 for the crime of Criminal Mischief. On December 27, 2008, White entered the Tanglwood Resorts and took a key from the overnight key card box, and used that key to open and use that room.

James Corbett, 44, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Jail for 1 to 2 years, pay a fine of $ 1,500.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, and Driving while Operating Privileges are Suspended. On May 1, 2007, Corbett drove his vehicle off the road on SR 2001 in Lehman Township and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. His driver’s license had previously been suspended from a prior DUI incident.
